I decided to write an introduction for the Advanced Reloading Series. I wanted to explain how I approach writing these articles.

First, I will assume that you are already somewhat familiar with the subjects since you are reading the Advanced Reloading Series. If you find yourself getting lost in a topic I’m discussing, please send me an email. I’m always willing to help.

Second, I will try not to push or mention any specific products in this series, but sometimes it is unavoidable. If I do, it will be more of an example of what to purchase. I will leave the equipment choices up to the reader.

In reloading, there are several different ways to skin a cat. Some are better than others, but who am I to decide for you? What works for me may not necessarily work for you. If you have a particular way of doing something, by all means, go with that.

If you see ads running on this site, those allow me to keep the lights turned on to keep writing articles for all of you. The good news is I will not allow any advertising on my site for equipment I haven’t personally used extensively or companies that have abysmal customer service.

Third, I will cover the subjects along with the pros and cons. Why am I doing it this way? I feel that giving you the information in this fashion will provide you with a good starting point. This way, you will learn why you are doing a specific procedure and not just how to do it. One of my mentors taught me this way, and I’m thankful for it.

I am attempting to give you enough information so you can develop your reloading/handloading procedures. I hope to centralize most of the advanced reloading information in this series. That way, you don’t have to spend hours searching for books or researching the Internet for articles on the subjects. I ran into this issue quite a bit when I first started reloading. Not only is that frustrating, but it can be confusing.

Now, pour yourself a pot of coffee because we are about to science the shit out of reloading.
