Shooter Spotlight Madison Bramley

This month addition to the Shooter Spotlight Series Features Madison Bramley. She is a very impressive junior shooter with a pile of accomplishments to match. (see in the photos.)  her father is also known to shoot a little bit. LOL

Q: At what age did you start shooting?

A: I started shooting when I was about 13 years old. It all began with pulling targets, but I wanted to take part in all the action.

Q: Who taught you how to shoot?

A: My dad taught me how to shoot. I have been fortunate to have such a smart, talented, and kind man like him there to teach me all these years.

Q: Do you Shoot F- open or FTR?

A: I shoot F-open, and it has been a blast.

Q: What was your favorite match?

A: I think my favorite match was shooting at the 2017 world championships in Canada. I loved meeting new people and getting to shoot in a new environment.

Q: What advice do you have for new shooters?

A: My best advice for new shooters would be not to give up. I know that shooting low scores can be discouraging, but practice makes perfect. You will learn and grow the more you do it, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Remember, the reason we participate in matches and shooting, in general, is for fun!

Q: Who are the shooters you admire?

A: I admire my teammates, Nancy Tompkins, Michael Gallagher, Mid Tompkins, Rick Jensen, Pete Ricci, Allan Rosenthal, my dad, and hundreds more. Everyone who puts effort into advancing in the sport and how we shoot is very admirable. They have taught me so much and had so much knowledge and insight to offer. I am especially proud of my dad because he has worked hard and recently became the United States F-class team captain. I look up to him a lot.

Q: What are your plans?

A: My plans regarding the shooting are to continue doing well and progressing. I hope to shoot in the next world championship in 2021.

Q: You have anything else you would like to add?

A: I would like to add how much I appreciate all the fantastic people in the shooting community and that it wouldn’t be the same without all of you. Many people have become family to me over the years, and my life (and the sport) would not be the same without them.
