Q: When did you learn how to shoot?

A: When I was three years old, my dad taught me how to shoot with my Cricket 22

Q: What age were you when you shot your first match?

A: I shot my first F-Open match at the Iosco Sportsman club at eight years old when I shot my first 600-yard match with my 6xc. I shot my first 1000 yard competition at Camp Grayling when I was 10, I shot that with my 6xc, and I competed in F-Open.

Q: Do you prefer shooting F-Open or FTR?

A: I prefer shooting FTR because there are more FTR competitors in Michigan, but I still love shooting F-Open because I started. The best part about
F-CLASS is I get to shoot with FTR and F-Open shooters with whom I have made great friends.

Q: what goes through your head before shooting a match?

A: Before a match, I like to have a clear mind and tell myself I don’t need to worry about how other people are doing; I need to beat the conditions.

Q: What advice do you have for new shooters?

A: Some advice I can pass down to new shooters is to make shooting fun and enjoyable. When you attend an event, always wear a smile and talk to the people who have been shooting for a while because they will hand down a wealth of knowledge. The most important advice I can tell new shooters is that when you are down on the mat shooting, treat every shot like a new match. Even if you shoot a bad shot, it’s behind you now.

Q: What was your favorite match, and why?

A: I don’t have a favorite match, but my favorites are National Matches because I make many new friends.

Q: What are your future goals in shooting?

A: My future goals are to keep participating F-Class, Maybe, try to get into a Sling, and pick up another discipline.

Q: Do you shoot on any teams?

A: I am a part of Kelbly, Vortex, and The Michigan F-TR team.

Q: Have you had any support from shooting companies?

A: I have had a lot of support from companies like Kelbly Rifles, Vortex Optics, Brux Barrels, and Creedmoor Sports. I also receive support from Capstone through the Jr. Shooting team here in Michigan. I also should mention that I received support from a local area Veteran, Joe Montana.

Q: do you have anything you would like to add?

A: I have a lot of support from my parents; they have invested a lot of time into my shooting. I want to thank them for being supportive because I couldn’t have accomplished anything without them. I am lucky to have a Dad who coaches me and can customize my gear to accommodate my needs as a shooter.
